A review of our regular 'First Friday' of the month short walks in and around Dereham. These walks are pot-luck with no advanced published route and there is not always a formal review page:

Our November short walk enjoyed full sunshine that mostly made up for the cool breeze as we crossed The Neatherd and made our way up to Northall Green, using the recently cleared byway providing a broad sundappled track. After walking along the lane (happily almost entirely car free), we returned to the further edge of The Neatherd by another byway. This enabled us to see the land that Dereham Town Council plans to make into a country park. It was then a short walk through Little Neatherd and back to our start point at the windmill, with many of us taking welcome refreshment at the Partea Hut.
