The last of three heritage events we are running in association with Dereham Heritage Trust throughout the year. This event is part of the national heritage open days programme (link opens in a new tab).

This walk looked at the Georgian buildings remaining in Dereham including:

• Assembly Rooms, built 1756
• Corn Exchange (cinema)
• Lord Nelson Inn (now Greggs)
• The Bull pub
• The Kings Head pub
• Hill House
• The (Spread) Eagle (now Tall Orders)

The booklet issued to all attendees lists many other Georgian landmarks and photographs of building no longer present.
