Our regular monthly First Friday short walk moved a day earlier and became a "Jubilee Thursday" walk for June.
We were treated to excellent weather as 28 people joined us at the start, Neatherd Moor car park:
We headed east, through The Little Neatherd, crossed Norwich Road and passed Dereham Windmill, before crossing the A47 foot bridge before finding open countryside:
This was a short walk at just over 4 miles, so before long it was time to head back to Town, this time crossing the A47 via the Mattishall Road bridge, before heading past the football ground and back onto The Neatherd:
We returned to our starting point along the northern Neatherd track and finally via Queen Mother's Avenue, a wide path lined with trees which form a canopy of branches.
This was a Jubilee celebration walk and tea & coffee and cake had been mentioned ...
With thanks to Brigitte, Dot and Philip, we were not disappointed!
