Our short walk started at The Neatherd, taking the byway along its northern edge and on to pass close by Etling Green. The green was reached across Footpaths 6 and 7, where the landowner continues to do an excellent job in making the path through his crop - we are most grateful.

We had time to circumnavigate Etling Green itself, so walked round its perimeter to reach Shillings Lane and so return to our starting point. Oh, and the threatened rain not only held off, but allowed the sun to come out for most of our walk.
