The weather forecast a fine day for our regular 'short walk' slot of the first Friday of the month, but we we met with a snow flurry!

Stating at Church House, we made our way across the water meadows by which time the weather had improved. We headed towards Toftwood where we crossed the railway line in bright sunshine.

We made our way along Dumpling Green passing the entrance to Badley Moor and then back towards the Town.

We reached the Windmill where the Partea Hut was open for tea/coffee/cake, this completed the 'short walk', but there was an option to progressing further ...

A smaller group then extended the walk to around 7 miles via Northall Green.
